Wednesday Tastings

Every Wednesday after hours, The Wine Cave is filling the calendar with hosted tasting events..

• Leading New Zealand winemakers will either give an overview of their pre-release wines or take us through their world-class winemaking journey.
• International wine and spirit tastings will be presented by specialty importers, offering an in-depth tutorial on world class beverages.
• Premium New Zealand spirit tastings will demonstrate why the country's spiritsare making their way to high-end restaurants around the world.
• Cocktail masterclasseswill be conducted by well-known Auckland bartenders, using New Zealand winesand spirits.
• Top craft beer brewers will showcase their most recent releases and match the beers with food.
• The Wine Cave team will summarise classic grape varieties of New Zealand e.g. the famous Pinot Noir and mixed sub-regions of Central Otago.
• The team will also reveal the mysteries behind the leading glassware ranges of the world, helping you find the exact fit for your wine needs.

Service

The team at The Wine Cave has a strong background in hospitality. It's led by co-founder and managing directorJoe Wang, who's developed a profound understandingof fine-dining service over 18 years; Gary Sweetman,whose culinary career spans 45 years; Giullia Silva, who has worked at a number of top establishments in Queenstown and Auckland; and tasting host DominiqueQuilichini, who has years of cellar door experience.
